With regard to your therapy, did something happen during a face-to-face session, for them to limit you to telehealth?

During session and in writing. I guess I was too open about Intrusive Thoughts specifically about her

@Blackcloud I am so far behind in messages that i have only just read this one. I know it’s from a few weeks ago, but I still really wanted to comment on it. 😊

Hi @Chasingsunsets and @Shaz51 just finished up with today’s excursion — I think I did well today in being able to attend there and be there on my own, without having my own support worker (she couldn’t come with me due to a migraine). I was able to use some fidget objects that the place offered for me to cope with being in an environment with other participants that I can use to play with along the way.

@AlwaysMyself @Cuddlebear

You went without your support worker and you did well!! 😍I really wanted to re-emphasise that and encourage you and let you know I am so proud of you. You are amazing and strong (we may have off-days too, but this one is evidence to hold onto that you are amazing and strong even when you may have days when you don’t feel it so much).

@AlwaysMyself thanks so much!! I was gonna attend the workshop that was on last Saturday. However, I messaged my support worker in that same morning to ask her and confirm if she was gonna come and pick me up on that day, she said she wouldn't be able to and that she already told the admin about it beforehand and that the admin told her she would let me know 😕 however, the admin didn't let me know and I only had to know about it when I messaged my support worker about it, so I ended up not attending that last Saturday's workshop since she (the support worker) wasn't available. The support worker did apologise for that which I appreciate. However, the support work service itself....I...have so much things to say and that I wanna vent about and yes they're all negative things because that service is extremely understaffed and they always delay delay delay in responding back to emails and such to the point I have to follow up with them via emails and even phone calls like numerous times already. However, the support worker I have from that service (the one that takes me to the workshops every Saturdays) and one other worker I had that took me to the concert 3 weeks ago -- they're both very nice workers and I don't wanna request to terminate the service agreement with the service without workers like them. I'm quite scared about requesting to see support workers from other support work services because I do know that there are a number of support workers in general that are only there just for the money and that don't care about their clients.

I hear you @Blackcloud. That's so frustrating for both you and your support worker when the admin team are letting you both down. Sadly this is not the first time I have heard people talk of this breakdown in admin 😥, a friend of mine used to work as a support worker and had a lot of problems with the agency admin booking her clients on days/times she never works. She felt in a hard place between either having to cancel/reschedule the client (poor customer service!) or having to change her own personal life plans to accommodate the admin's error.

If your support worker had to cancel (planned or unplanned) in the future, do you think you would be able to go by yourself again? (With fidgets and a plan for what to do if you felt overwhelmed - e.g. step out to a quiet space, notice symptoms and leave head home early?)

Or do you prefer to not go at all?

Re: Saturday Soiree -- 14th March 2026

@AlwaysMyself i'm sure my Saturday support worker won't plan on cancelling her sessions with me at anytime in the future, at least not for this whole year as far as I know 🙂 but in that case, I would most likely rather not go for the most part, but then I would also need to request for a worker at another support work service I've recently been in contact with who would be available on Saturdays that can drive with me to the workshops.

When I went to the excursion almost 2 Saturdays ago, I did bring at least two items that I can use when I get anxious/nervous, and luckily the place we went to the excursion at did offer free sensory kit bags, so I used one of those and was able to fidget on one of the sensory toys during the whole excursion. 🙂 and yeah you're allowed to leave early and step out of the workshop whenever you're overwhelmed and all that stuff, they're very accomodating like that which I really appreciate!
