Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

@Fluttershy1 I'm glad you've got support worker tomorrow sweet. I'm sorry that you were told that, it's honestly not helpful when we're struggling.

Hoping you can sleep in and you do so well with your self care.

I am aswell, I love the one I’ve got tomorrow so I’m very excited @MissGremlin - it’s not helpful at all, I really question why they have jobs if they are going to be like that.

I’ve gotta be on top of my self care sometimes otherwise I won’t do it. I’m all snuggled up with Perry in bed.

@Fluttershy1 that's good, at least it's something to look forward to. I find myself questioning the same thing when I've come across some people from different services.

I get that, self care doesn't come easily when things are tough but it's so important to look after ourselves the most during those times. Being snuggled up in bed with Perry sounds perfect.

@MissGremlin - it’s like why work in the industry if you don’t really care about people you know. It just annoys me. I’ve came across many people in ER, NDIS, Support worker, Allied health workers, Therapists. The list goes on. Like don’t work in the field if you can’t tolerate it.

I’ve just learnt over the past 5 months it’s better to rely on my own statergies because ER just keep denying me help and I can sometimes help myself if I can catch it early. Also that’s why I do so much self care & art & crafts because that helps me and it’s like therapy to me and helps regulate me.

am safe

Re: Does it ever stop

@Fluttershy1 i completely hear you on this sweet and i feel the same way.

Sometimes it's enough to rely on our own strategies, other times yes we might need that extra support. But even when I've found that my arts/crafts aren't helping, they are still helping to pass the time and sometimes that's enough to just keep getting through. I'm glad you have them and that they help you, it's good to have things that you enjoy doing aswell.

@MissGremlin - I’m the same, sometimes arts & crafts aren’t enough and I need extra support. But you can only do what you can do you know.

but you still get through it. Dark times don’t last forever there’s always light at the end of it.

just like believe you can and your halfway there.

I’m now watching the stars with Perry. Slowly making me sleepy. But not enough to fall asleep. I’m just tossing and turning which is frustrating me. Am safe

@Fluttershy1 I'm hoping you can get some sleep soon sweet.

I'm sorry but I have to hop off as I'm struggling to focus on the screen, things are getting fuzzy (I'm safe).

It’s ok @MissGremlin - look after yourself please. Reach out if you need extra help.

Hi @Fluttershy1, I’m really sorry to hear your ER experience felt so invalidating, especially when you were already struggling and trying to seek help

I’m glad to hear you’re safe now and that you had your support worker with you.

How are you feeling today? 💛

Hai @Nala2022 - feeling somewhat ok. Trying to just keep my mind busy. Not long woken up.
