Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

@Fluttershy1 it sounds so challenging, and definitely feels unfair when someone isn't able or willing to recognise the harm they've caused. We can't control how others behave, we can only control how we respond - and keeping your distance and focusing on your health sounds like a good way to do that.

I'm sorry that it's all so hard. One step, one day at a time is all we can do sometimes hey.

Hope you're able to drift off to sleepy-land soon 💜

@Jynx - it really is, and also scary when they don’t obey it either and overwhelming because it also causes all the flashbacks.

I even got told I’m attention seeking with my SI and SH in the last year that was by family . I’m currently safe though

im trying to take it hour by hour little by little you know so all my walls don’t come crashing down.

I will sleep eventually, when is the question. I’ve had a cry tonight, laying on the bed with my weighted penguin. Am safe

@Jynx @Anonymouse1000 @Appleblossom @creative_writer @tyme @Icecream - I just wanna run and hide today everything feels overwhelming, I’m also extremely triggered and trying to manage and ground myself.

It’s just so annoying when people don’t respect boundaries and ask you to drink with them and you say no and they continue but I’m not going to.

im safe

Hi @Fluttershy1

I don't know about you, but I haven't drank alcohol for many years now. I decided to stop because my medications would already be enough for my liver and kidneys without adding anything more.

If you don't want to drink then you have every right now to, they will just have to live with that.

I ended in ER @Anonymouse1000 @Jynx @Appleblossom @creative_writer - they triggered me pretty badly and I just broke into full tears it’s just not fair.

@Fluttershy1 I agree with @Anonymouse1000 you have every right to decline drinking

Re: Does it ever stop

@Fluttershy1 there is no shame being in the ER. People can be triggering

Re: Does it ever stop

@creative_writer @Anonymouse1000 - I politely declined drinking. But they insisted at one point I kept saying no, then went to my room, my bro is still friends with my ex and I asked him nicely if he could please remove him so I could wipe him completely to help me. But no.

am safe

@Fluttershy1

It sounds like they were trying to pressure you. I am glad you are safe. If you are able what are some things you can do to relax?
