Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

Re: Does it ever stop

@Fluttershy1 Bummer that things are so bad for you at the moment. i found that the rotten thing with disassociating is it keeps coming back. i have been so happy to learn how to deal better with emotional overload it really helps getting through my anxious times. i wish i had known how to that years ago. i hate anxiety, it has been a life long enemy and one of the worst ones too.

i hope things calm down for you. i found that antihistamine, the sleepy ones, can help when not peaking, but it must be used rarely to keep working well. When things are getting worse, not triggered, i use them for a day at times, and then 3-4 days off. Just to get a break when anxiety is persistent, and make sure they work for me next time. Sleep is also of utmost importance for lack of sleep does not give the brain time to calm down.

How has your sleep been?

Maybe it's okay to allow yourself some space and time to cry out what you're feeling? @Fluttershy1 💛
