Re: Saturday Soiree -- 7th March 2026

@Mustang67 i had a very hard day today with lots of crying and some triggers, but i also had a really good day for my wife was very supportive me going through a hard time and we covered lots of ground where things need fixing in our relationship.

@Shaz51 @oceangirl @tyme @Lonewolf73

Shitty thing is i got another kidney stone just came up. Right on top still too. Already caning badly. i always freak inwardly when they hurt so bad up high up underneath my rib cage, near my spine, that usually means at least another night in endurance mode. Luckily lately none of them have been so big i needed hospitalization. i hope so this time too. Be hard to drive 20 km when in utter agony on my own. Last time i had a big stone i was so sore i could hardly walk into the hospital let alone drive there.

Blah!

Hi @Lonewolf73 I just thought that I would let you know that we have a space called Hobbies & Project and if you click on the blue link, it will take you there. Have a look around and see what other members are up to. And feel free to share anything that you have made, drawn or painted. Hobbies and Projects

My hobbies are coin collecting (we have a separate space just for this) cross stich, diamond dots (art), and colouring in. I am not very good at drawing, but we do have some good artists among us.

We also have a space for cat lovers, where we share images of our fur babies and discuss everything cats. I will give you the link in case you are interested. The Sane Cattery Because normal is overrated

It is not surprising that a lot of our members chose to rescue cats rather than buy one from a pet shop. We are a very caring group of people.

@DownMoreThanUp Zeus and Zeta are gorgeous. I love big dogs like this as they give great hugs. What bread is your 3rd dog?

Re: Saturday Soiree -- 7th March 2026

@DownMoreThanUp I am so sorry that you struggled today. But I am very glad that your wife was there to support you through it and you also managed to sort out some issues in your relationship. That is no mean feat when you are struggling. Well done to the both of you ❤️

OMG wow a kidney stone, definitely not nice. I have just had about 18 months suffering with gallstones, and it was horrendous. Most of the time I ended up calling an ambulance, as I couldn't stand the pain. I was lucky enough to have my gallbladder removed in December and have had no issues since.

But having to drive yourself to hospital when you are in agony is not a good thing. What has been done in the past. Have they let them pass naturally, or has something been done for you.

I am so sorry that you have to suffer through this pain. I really feel for you. I think the level of pain for kidney stones is similar to gallstones, and I know how painful they are. I pray that they pass naturally and the pain level is not so intense for you 🙏

Hi @SANE-KhorosCare & @alfiepickle I notice that you are a night owl like myself.

How are you going this morning?

Re: Saturday Soiree -- 7th March 2026

@Mustang67 Yes Rottweilers are very best for hugs and cuddles. Love my sweet hearts a lot.

@Shaz51 @oceangirl @tyme @Lonewolf73

i also love growling with Zeus, we have done together since he was a puppy. He has calmed down a lot but at times my wife thought he would eat me alive, us growling at each other to each others delight. Zeus really helped me air my aggressive/frustrating times without causing me any upsets being aggressive. Which has been greatest to learn to do.

our third dog is an Austrian Shepard dog (at the 1 minute mark.)

@DownMoreThanUp most of the dogs in that video are so cute. Amongst them I would have to say my favourite is the German Shepherd. Another big dog to hug and give cuddles to.

I used to have a golden German Shepherd. The breeders were going to put it down, as it wasn't the correct colourings. So, I took it instead. He was an awesome dog.

Re: Saturday Soiree -- 7th March 2026

@Mustang67 Thanks caring. It turned out to be a really painful ordeal. And at first it did not want to move, no matter how much i drank. i took lots of pain management but have been sweating the pain anyhow.

@Shaz51 @oceangirl @tyme @Lonewolf73

At its worst my wife and me prayed seriously for aid. i remember fearing i be hospitalized for sure at the time. i have two really bad kidney stones in the past that had me in hospital. Once i was rushed off to Perth by the royal flying doctors with a bad kidney infection on top of the kidney stone. It took a week on really strong antibiotics and an operation to get back home again then.

Anyhow about 20 minutes later suddenly the stone began to move. From the mid top back, just under my rib cage, it moved to right side of my back about navel height. It did that in just 20-30 minutes with much less pain than it did before it had began moving.

However after moving there the pain became basically acute, even as the pain shot into my belly from the back. i know if i had not felt the stone move at the time i would have left to go to hospital, felt like screaming from the pain at the time.🤐

After that the pain began to die down quickly. i had drank lots of fluids so i had to pee badly. i took an clean empty white ice cream and peed there in. i saw no blood at all, which surprised me considering the pain i had endured, but i could clearly see 5 small pieces of gravelly stone bits scattered across the bottom. (The next pee 20 minutes later added another 3 bits.)

We concluded that the stone must have broken up and after that past much more quickly. The whole ordeal had lasted about two hours. Which is very quick for a kidney stone in my experience. At times it has taken a whole night, even a few days once.

This stone has been the third sorest stone i have had in my life, but took only a few hours to pass. i did have troubled getting to sleep after that. Mainly because i had to go to the toilet a million times getting rid of all the fluids i drank to flush the stone.

Still a bit tender but feeling fine now.👍

(Sure thanked Jesus getting me through that on my own.😁)
