I think people often mean A-Social (Not social, like A-Sexual) not antisocial

Depot appointment today

I mentioned my guts to the nurse. When nurse handed to GP to sign off on the injectin, she told him to ask about my guts

Bloods & stool sample* first

Colonoscopy referral next appointment

(*I currently have more than ample stools to spare for a sample, and I worked with 2 year olds long enough to be desensitized to it)

He thinks SIBO but has to rule out worse

@Shaz51 I saw in another thread that you are looking at cochlear implants? My mum had a BAHA, which is similar and by the same company. But it attaches an electrode to the patient's natural cochlear bone

@DogMan79 I like that you found another way to look at the "A" to make it asocial rather than anti-social. It diffuses the oppositionality. I might use it as a concept more. Thanks

@Mustang67 @SaltwaterSoul @Shaz51

@Cuddlebear Sending loving thoughts.

Have a friend dropping around soon. Wow! Maybe I am even moving slightly from being asocial to a little bit social. Thanks Sane Forum for helping me on this journey.

Re: Sunday Coffee and Chat -- 22nd February 2026

OMG @Cuddlebear that has been going on for so long. You must be exhausted and so sick of it. I am so sorry to hear that things have been hard for you. I really wish that I could wave a magic wand and make things instantly better for you. Are you getting help from professionals while going through this tapering and hard time? I hope your getting some support, as I don't want you to go through this alone.

I know that I am not always or regularly online, but I am ready to listen at any time.

Things have been a bit tough for me as well. My partner and I were kicked out of the caravan park that we had lived in for the past 6 years, because of a new neighbour who was constantly complaining and my partner did not react well to one of his complaints. We were basically give two weeks to find somewhere else to live. And with the rental market as it is at the moment, that was impossible to find a rent in that amout of time. So the only thing we came up with, was hiring a caravan to live in, which we have placed on my mum's property at the end of the drive way.

I have really been struggling with anything to look forward to in the future, as I can't see ourselves finding somewhere to live any time soon. We have decided to try and stay in the caravan for as long as we can take it, so we can save up money, to have a bond, rent in advance and the first quarter's untilies expenses behind us. We will also need some basic furniture as all of my furniture in storage has been ruined. So once we have the money behind us, then we will start applying and inspecting rental properites at full strenghth.

But I do get to see mum and family a lot more now, and of course my beautiful cat that always comes running up to me, whenever I go inside. She doesn't like the caravan yet, but hopefully she will get used to it, so I can cuddle with her on the bed on my bad days.

I truely hope that something can be done for you soon, to get you through this hard time. Sending big hugs to you.

Re: Sunday Coffee and Chat -- 22nd February 2026

@Mustang67 Hello lovely how are you? I am truly sorry you were made to leave the caravan park. The housing crisis makes it so terribly difficult for anyone to find somewhere to rent. I’m glad you can park the caravan at your mums and I know it’s not ideal and you must be under a lot of stress. I’m certain kitty will get used to it. They don’t like change but they do get used to it and I’m hoping kitty is now coming into your bed for snuggle time when you need it.

It’s a really good plan you have in place to save first for a new place and then look. Giving you the money required so you can sign a lease when it’s offered.

I can understand feeling like there’s nothing to look forward in the future. I promise you that you will find a new home and that things will get better. They do get better and you’ll have your own home and security very soon.

I did have some support but the service is short term with a huge waiting list. I’ve been exited and have nothing at the moment other than calling the CATT team. They said they know I need it and am at big risk but there’s nothing they can do. CATT team are pretty useless and have nowhere to refer me to unless I can pay. There’s no free services for people like me tapering and with chronic and complex needs. . It’s been really rough and every day I’m in relentless agony from my mental health. I’m holding on but by a thread. I’m tired so tired.

Re: Sunday Coffee and Chat -- 22nd February 2026

Ohhhh @Cuddlebear that is horrible having to live like you are. I just want to wave a magic wand and make all your troubles disappear. The current mental health system and housing system have a lot to answer for. They are not getting the support where it needs to be, and if they are, they are obviously not providing enough.

I am just plodding along, trying not to think too much about the situation that I find myself in. Between mum and I, we have a few appointments coming up, so that will keep me busy for the next couple of weeks. I just hope my back holds up for my specialist appointment this Wednesday, to get the all clear to start exercising and lifting weights. That will be my first step to repairing my chronic back issues.

Thank you for your positive thoughts. It made me feel a bit better just by reading them.

I can hear how much pain you are in, and I am so sorry it is this hard for you and it makes total sense that you are tired. You have been fighting a massive battle for a very long time.

I know you are holding on by a thread, and I am here to help you hold on. Use my strength to help you hold on, as I won't let you go. I believe in you and your ability to get through this, even when it feels impossible. You are a strong, determined, caring and loving person and you can get through this.
