@Shaz51 @Jacques @creative_writer my nana always had morning tea at a set time — she lived on a farm, and all the family knew to be back at a certain time, as well as exactly how many cupcakes & biscuits they were allowed 🤣.
The family joke I learned was my uncle being asked by my nana (his mum) “Is that your second xxx?” And him looking offended and answering “No!” … because it was his 3rd or 4th 🤣 the cheeky one! He did it even when I was a child I remember. The rest of us all knew what was going on, but unless someone else gave on (e.g. laughed) she had not a clue that his “no” was because it was MORE THAN 2.

I only knew 1 grandparent. My maternal grandfather

He had 8 kids, all of whom had their own kids. So you can imagine that I wasn't a high priority

I remember his food tastes harping back to the great depression. Ox tongue sandwich etc
