Hehehe @Bunniekins
We're all so different.
Bush walking gives me creepy crawly feelings.... i always think a leech is on me 🙂 lol
When I was in Syd, I lived behind the bush and bay so I had the best of both worlds.... here in Melb, I just have a pool because the beach is a bit far for a time poor person.

Can I add a question
Why only summer?
I walk on the beach every day, and from what I can tell-People only come for the melanoma
Nobody comes in winter. It can be beautiful in winter. But apparently for most people the beach exists to point your bare bum at the sun only

hahahaha @Bunniekins ! Soz! I mean "chilling with a cuppa in front of the bush!"... nah, too many bugs and insects. Or, do you bring a chair, is that why it's easier?
Only joking @Bunniekins - love having you around to lighten the mood, eh?

I adore the beach, it's my special place. Any beach, anywhere, any season. Calming, relaxing and beautiful. When I lived in Sydney, we just across the road from the beach. Walked and swam there regularly. It always makes me feel better when I spend time there. On the flipside, my husband hates the beach, he's a bush/mountain man! He takes me to the beach but he stays in the car watching YouTube while I swim. He "allows" me an hour there then can't wait to get home. We don't enjoy much together anymore; only movies really. Wish I had a "beach buddy" to enjoy it with! 😏

@Former-Member It was a lovely open ended question, where people can share their unique points of view and nothing is really wrong.
I love the beach, in all weathers, but have not spent much time there in my bathers for over 20 years. LOL. I have often lived close by. In Sydney my father took me on weekend tours of all the beaches, and coastline etc. For a while, I lived less than 100m from central Port Phillip Bay beaches, and did a sand study project in Earth Science. Yes, sand can be annoying for lots of reasons, but also interesting. I spent a bit of time in teens and twenties surfing. I used to swim more but have stopped. It can get annoying when everyone crowds there in summer. Our local beach patrol was going there today, to do litter pick up.

If you press the @button a drop down menu with profile names appears. Usually they include the person who started the thread and the last 4 posters. If you type in the box other profile names also come up. People get notifications if they are tagged in hypertext, and so the conversations can unfold and continue.
What do you think of the beach? @Former-Member

@Appleblossom yes, I am aware of how tagging works
I have stated repeatedly that I don't understand this forum's culture of tagging. It's not something which I will ever adopt like the others do. As I have stated again and again

Sorry @DogMan79 I genuinely liked your posts about the beach.
I was trying to explain the tagging to the new person. Sorry if it upset you.
It can be hard for us all to know the right thing to say to others.
