I’m glad you enjoyed your movie @Shaz51. What movie did you watch?

I’ve managed to survive nearly 2 weeks at my new uni student accommodation and in the past week, I’ve learnt a lot about other students - med students to be exact. Definition- the majority of the group I’m living with are lazy and don’t know how to clean up after themselves to the point where they think cleaners will empty the kitchen bins, do their dishes and clean their ensuite bathrooms for them! They may be academic smart but they have a lot to learn about living in shared accommodation with others with the uni calling a house meeting on Monday night to explain the rules to them. Let’s just say I’ve lived in uni accommodation over 20 years ago in Tasmania and I know what it’s like to share with others so this meeting may shock a few students and not in a good way. Bring the popcorn as it’s going to be a real show stopper of a meeting and I’m looking forward to it immensely! Add to this, the TVs at accommodation don’t work either in our hall so none of the med students are happy right now!

As for other news, I injured myself with a very bruised thumb as a result of not unpacking properly yesterday which resulted in no knitting but it’s slowly getting better. I also upset my old property manager by putting in a claim for the bond of our old place which she didn’t like and now has to justify to authorities why she should keep the bond in court - poetic justice for her causing so much trouble over the last 12 months. I got my uni timetable which I’m happy with and start in March with orientation being in 2 weeks time for 3 days so I’m scared but also excited as well. My housemate went on a respite break just after we moved in so I had a break away from carer duties although she’s still had plenty of dramas in her life which I’ve had to deal with, including an operation and hospital visit with me escorting her home as her mother refused to do this. I also made the decision to limit my time with my carer peer worker as I didn’t want to cause issues with my carer problems/dramas and will contact them in 2 weeks time - a self awareness strategy of mine I’ve chosen to put in place for both of us.

This weekend will be a date with relaxing and taking it easy.

I have only had one cuppa today, a hazelnut latte. Not a great day, a certain person has been causing problems for but I can't say too much as when I did my posts were deleted.

I am relaxing and doing my assessment in between playing an online game and completing a diamond painting.

I am on the train, on my way to see a show with my Sister during Fringe Festival. I have a strange relationship with my sister to be honest. Not really sure how I feel about her. It’s complicated. Going out for an evening is fine but I don’t want to share details of my life with her.

Ive never lived in uni accommodation, but i remember a workmate when i worked at the uni who was also a student and had student accommodation there. Maaannnn their place was.... a bachelor pad and a half lol.

@Judi9877 is there any reason that the previous owner *shouldn't* give back the bond? (Other than then just being spiteful)
