ALWAYS good to see you too @ENKELI ! It feels like I've had the amazing privilege of seeing to go on, improve and really just blossom! It's wonderful 🙂

@tyme you are just such a special person in your role as Community Lead. I feel a bit bad saying that because there are other such amazing people in guide/lead roles too and I don't want to negate how amazing they are.

I will always have a special place in my heart for you though because you were the first "Sane" person I had interaction with and it's always been a positive experience.
Sane is better for having people like you.

I think 2026 is going to be a better year because I have a more positive outlook, I have shaken off the negative influences in my life and also let go of the hurt caused by people in my life.

And I am so lucky I get to share your time. No pun intended! xoxo

I just find it remarkable that I have the honour of sharing people's journeys - their ups, downs and sometimes round and rounds.

When I reflect on the journey I've been on, it's really a miracle I'm still here. Hence, I need to take this time to be grateful for all those around me and all the moments in life where I can learn to make a difference to both my life and the life of others.

@tyme you mention it's a miracle you're still here. I feel that you were always meant to be, to go through what you went through (and I don't know your journey but I imagine it was tough) and to now be supporting people who are going through their own tough times is something kind of special.

I just wish there were more Tymeys, not everyone has your empathy and compassion.

I am always interested for example, why some people go into mental health services. While I was in the mental health annex of my local hospital I had the most amazing nurse who was so giving that when I saw her outside of the hospital we hugged and had a coffee together. Then there was another one who was rude, condescending and just mean! Sometimes I think it might be a power thing - this woman knew she could get away with being a "rhymes with stitch" to me and act all high and mighty. I later found out that she wasn't targeting me, she was always like that.

So I am forever grateful to you because you always act with kindness and are never abrupt or rude.

It's the old expression, you get more flies with honey than you do vinegar. A lot of people need to learn that!

I can totally relate. In my time in and out of hospital, there were people who really cared... then there were others who.. well, saw me as 'case number' to file away.

Yet I will always focus on those who made a difference as this is what will get us through the tough times.

Honestly, if I didn't have my own MH challenges, I would not have the empathy and compassion that I have today. I think I would very hard hearted and if I worked in MH, I'd be one of those "rude, condescending and just mean" people!

So I'm forever grateful that MH changed me - in a good way 🙂

@PeppyPatti ooh, I haven't watched Australian Idol for many years!! I remember the Anthony Callea, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy era well though. 🤩

@Appleblossom I also wear scarves and only wear makeup when I'm performing. What kind of performing do you do?

@Ruby26 mainly performing in music.... allsorts.... organ, piano, recorder, choral, opera. Could not wear my glasses in a Wagner cos it was not historically appropriate. No longer even wear lippie when playing recorder cos it gets gross! However lippie is seen as appropriate for vocals as it brings out the shape of the mouth.

Also doing some MH activism in music and performance.
