C-PTSD and Chronic Isolation

C-PTSD and Chronic Isolation

Hi everyone. I’ve been in survival mode for most of my life due to trauma and ongoing health issues. Lately, it’s caught up with me — I feel worn down, disconnected, and very alone. Simple things like getting out of bed or taking care of myself can feel unbearable. I’m safe, but I’m struggling and could really use a supportive space to share and feel less alone. I’m grieving how much of my life has been spent surviving. While others are moving forward, I’m exhausted and trying to hold myself together day by day. I don’t need fixing — I just want to be heard and to connect with people who get how heavy this can be. I experience ongoing dissociation, exhaustion, and loneliness, and I’m finding it hard to cope on my own. I’m not looking for advice — just a place to share how heavy things feel and connect with others who understand.

Thank you so much for this. What you shared really stayed with me in a positive yet teary way, and it helped me feel less alone in way thats so hard to put into words. I'm sorry you're having one of those ride-it-out nights too. I'm grateful and i hear you too. I'm glad we crossed paths here.
