Thank you Everyone

Hi guys

i created a new thread so not to trigger anyone and not to override your post @Zoe7

Firstly thank you for all your support over today and last night and being concerned. i did ring a hotline today (suicideline). im sure they are sick of hearing from me by now.

it has been a massive night and day starting with a trigger post and things just kept pileing up one thing after another.

the forums were just too hard to be on for the past day and i just needed to distance myself for abit.

I thought i had supports off the forum besides my gp and psych but i havent. my family isnt supporting me now and the two friends that i did have have split the scene. (they were friends before i came into the pciture so kinda expected). like a chain reaction.

@Zoe7 - my 'guardian angel' thank you for all your hugs and kind words and thinking im resilient.. you are such a beautiful, caring person and i appreciate it

@Former-Member - i was stupid enough not to call the helplines last night but i pretty much forced myself to ring them today. thank you for sticking around last night. greatly appreciated.

@Faith-and-Hope - i really appreciate you help. Zoe was right about you. i did get in contact with a helpline just not straight away like i should have.

@Former-Member- thank you for taking the time to help me out today. i really appreciate it.

I cant remember the rest or find if anyone else said anything so i hope i tagged everyone....

i really appreciate all your help. im still not back to whether id like to be so i might not be around the forums as much as id like to but ill be around is anyone needs me esp all of you, so dont hesitate to tag me in things if you need me ok ?

i really cant express how much i really appreciate you guys being there for me. i could feel all your 'hugs' coming through the screen as i was reading through the comments.

i didnt want to come on here earlier in case i came across another trigger, even unintentionally so i thought it would be safer to stay distant.

i also didnt want to come on here and set anyones triggers off, nor upset anyone and i didnt want to offend anyone through the day for any reason.

i wont tell you everything that happened today as itll be triggering for many of you if not all depending on sensitivity to certain things. but i can tell you ther were many things that were happening and none of them were good (i thought i was going to end up in hospital last night and today up until about 5pm) ive just started to clam down now. i hope this doesnt set anyones triggers off at all. please let me knoe if it does and ill edit so i leave that part out ok? i wont be offended, not in the slightest

i think part of the reason i pulled through today was because of you guys. i could 'feel' your support even the minor ones. so THANK YOU!!!!

I honestly cant express that enough.

Re: Thank you Everyone

Yes @Former-Member I have medication which is meant to be quite effective for nerve pain. I am not able to mention specific medications here, but it is actually a low dose old fashioned AD which has incidentally been found to be highly effective for many people when it comes to severe nerve pain. It could be worth asking your GP about it. It is a long term thing though, and not just taken when the pain is bad, its most effective when taken over time. And of course I still have times when the pain is substantially increased, just from everything living really. So I have a supply of really strong painkillers which I use when I am very desperate. But as they are highly addictive I usually I just try to ride it out. Anti-inflamatory meds help some people, but they seem to do nothing whatsoever for me.

Re: Thank you Everyone

Hello @Former-Member, I've read your thread all the way through. I was a bit worried at first, but then saw you had a horse accident - not belittling your situation at all - but I was able to read through it. It made me cry all over the place, no offence, but I don't think it was the pain - your so afraid.

I've had a similar experience with Doctors, it seems the moment mental health issues were put on my record, that was the reason for everything. For 10 years or more, I told doctors my neck hurt - they basically told me it was in my head; I was contracting my muscles all the time, I was too alert to sleep properly - go through the patterns or something like that. They convinced me, so I ignored it because it wasn't real. About a year ago I was diagnosed with arthritis, psoric spondilitus (can't spell it) - from what I can gather it's like I'm growing extra bone in my spine, it's on my joint membranes as well and I knew it was on my skin . . . that's quite obvious. I actually had one doctor tell me I was too young for neck problems! Your not too young for anything, you know you better than anybody else.

I might not be a butterfly, I might just be the grub, but I feel for you, your pain and your fear, I might just understand a little.

oh ok, i kinda dont want to go onto any more meds as im on 4-5 tablets a day already and its long term. so im kinda trying to just take things as i need them and i dont find anti inflamatories work either.

you dont have any stretches that work by any chance? @Former-Member

Hi @Former-Member

Thank you for the tag. My husband has similar nerve pain and does take medication such as @Former-Member but can't take anti-inflamatories because it effects his heart. My husband was experiencing nerve pain in his neck, back and down his legs. He did find that an ultrasound guided cortisone injection fixed the nerve pain in his back for over 12 months. But may not work for everyone. I hope you find relief soon.

Re: Thank you Everyone

Always here for you @Former-Member ❤️

I did forget to mention that my friends have received relief from certain nerve pain in their backs, necks, legs etc from receiving physiotherapy and/or acupuncture. May be an alternative if you don't want to take meds xx

Re: Thank you Everyone

thank you @Former-Member i really appreciate it, your such a kind caring person

i had physio to start with but i found it wasnt helping me. ive been told that accupuncture can be very beneficial as well as dry needling but im too scared of needles to get it done.
