I am thankful for my headphones

Yes, I liked those books @foolking34 and @Shaz51

maybe Such is Life

or A Fortunate Life

or

Its not all fiction, as I also have other cultural stuff like Tyranny of Distance and "Where Song Began" by Tim Lowe. I kinda talked to the birds and the animals, and had to do research a bit before I could understand Aussies from a more emotional point of view. Often my favourite is what I am reading at the moment.

What is your favourite Aussie literature @StuF or @Jynx ?

I never did much Australian lit at school, but developed a love for it in last 20 years. It is my way of connecting to my Aussie side, which I couldn't do in real life, cos my father died when I was 11 and I had no other rellies on his side.

I am thankful for your headphones too @avant-garde 😍

Hey @Appleblossom

I like most stuff by Peter Carey. Oscar and Lucinda for starters but his short stories are good too.

I actually did Oscar and Lucinda for Year 12 English...but I'd read it a couple of years beforehand and decided I didn't need to read it again for exams etc....That ended well, not! lol

I always say I was an intelligent student but not a very smart one. Oh well. Ancient history now!

Happy Fri-yay lovely @Shaz51 ! 🤗🥰 I officially made it through two full shifts since my accident 😌

That makes 3 full days this week!,

Wow well done @Rosepetal96 , way to go my awesome friend 🧡

Any plans for the weekend xx

Hey @StuF I read Carey's True History of the Kelly Gang, but not the other. Better put Oscar and Lucinda on the list.

Thanks dude.

love Apple
