I was feeling a lack of motivation and posted something. I subsequently realised only I can find that motivation in myself.

Re: The unbelievable heaviness of being

Firstly, you always have a right to post and share how you're feeling. We are all very much in support of one another, no matter how frequently we do or don't post. @Till23 🥰

I am glad you are able to acknowledge where you're at. I have noticed this ebb and flow in feeling light/heavy within myself so many times... this is why I believe it can absolutely shift. I have seen it change in you before, particulary when you explore connection or purpose. I know you mentioned needing something radical to help shift you out of your current state, so I am wondering, what do you imagine that could look like?

Overall, it sounds like there are some heavier thoughts coming up for you right now. Can you tell me if you are you able to keep yourself safe tonight? 💛

Lastly, I can absolutely hear just how heavy and hard things are feeling at the moment and I am sensing that some support from likeminded humans might help right now. ☺️

What would you suggest as a loving 'kick in the pants' strategy? 🫶

Re: The unbelievable heaviness of being

@Till23 you absolutely have a right to post and to reach out for support when you need it, regardless of how much you do or don't post.

I feel that grounding helps with anxiety and when I have big emotions and feel all stirred up inside, but it doesn't really help with the depression side of things. It's almost like it needs the opposite - it needs to be lifted gently.

I do that to myself to - I have this and I have that and I shouldn't feel the way that I do. I've even had thoughts recently. But I think...I do feel the way that I do and it's okay. Comparrison isn't fair on me and only leads to me feeling worse about myself. Would I think that about a friend or someone else in my situation? My answer was no. I wouldn't judge someone else that harshly, so it's not fair to judge myself in that way.

I don't know if I have a strategy for you but I guess my pondering for you is...

- If depression demands the opposite of grounding and that involves lifting - what can you do to lift your mood even just a little?

Thanks for your response @AuntGlow

Somehow I'm supposed to go to volunteering tomorrow morning, I am trying not to pull out.

I was trying to think of strategies to feel ok for at least this evening, anyhow I think I'll try to have a very early night. Sorry to involve others, who have their own things to deal with.

Sorry for posting, I should have kept my own counsel.

I really want to encourage you to sit with the love and support we want to share with you tonight. I know it's hard and it feels really, really tough to trust that we want to be here, but please know that we genuinely do. @Till23 💛

You are always welcome to share with us, okay?

I can hear you will have an early night - can you let us know how volunteering goes tomorrow? 🫶

It's ok @AuntGlow I thank everyone for support which has been very kind

I feel I made a mistake in posting anything.

I wish I hadn't taken up people's time and energy.

I appreciate people responding though

Re: The unbelievable heaviness of being

@Till23 I'm sorry for not replying earlier sweet.

I hear things have been hard for you but I'm so proud of you for reaching out and you absolutely do have a right to post here.

I hope you can still manage the volunteering tomorrow but it's also ok if you can't. I'm hoping you can get a good night's sleep tonight and things feel a little lighter tomorrow for you.

I'll check in with you tomorrow sweet. Know that you are so loved and cared for here ❤️.
