Shooting for the stars

Shooting for the stars

I like to look at the stars and love the Southern Cross. Anyway thats the longing idealistic part of me.

Sorry to notice Space X had another exploding rocket that went nowhere. Sorry they dont pay their taxes. Hope nobody was hurt. Maybe we got too many gadgets, big and small.

Maybe its in the hope and looking and the immensity of the universe, that we might be redeemed.

Australia has our own, home grown failing rockets as of 2025. Apparently the first one ended with a cloud of smoke and not much else

Hey @Appleblossom,

I love your thread ☺️, I also love looking at the stars! Especially when out camping in complete darkness seeing the brightness of above 💫

Do you like look looking for different constellations?

where’s your pic above from is that from a star gazing app? 😊

I haven’t had much luck with sharing my star pics in the past but I’ll give it one more shot, I saw Scorpion from the plane while up in the sky, I thought that was pretty cool 😀💫

ah I promise my photos are better quality than this lol. I hope you may just be able to see it! 🤞💫

Looking at that landscape, and remembering that this is Australia, I can't help but think that an Australian space program will end up causing more then a few catastrophic bushfires... 😕

@Appleblossom the reason why they dont pay taxes is because they do things the government wants them to do unlike everyone else who pays taxes. Its just what governments smile favorably upon to keep the economy and infrastructure going. Thats why they dont pay tax

Re: Shooting for the stars

Thanks for reminding us @DogMan79 I saw that a few months ago, maybe it was why I posted this most recent flop.

I used to like scfi as a teen. Things are turning over a bit slowler than we all expected, re space races. Lots of booboos. Thats the way of learning aye?

Yep @chibam Australia being hot and dry doesnt need more fires.

@SmilingGecko Yep. I was the taxman once upon a time. lol 40 years ago.

@Windy Hey!

@Chasingsunsets Its a gorgeous photo. I haven't even worked out how to reduce my file sizes to post a photo. Ex tekkie, here, but not fully into the digital world so really strip things back to basics.

Mostly I just like to look at the milky way and wonder, and hope it inspires me or lifts my mood.

Remember, if we aim for the stars, we might land on the moon. Did hold some moon rocks in my hand when doing Geology at uni, or were they from Mars?? Long time ago.

hope you all have a decent day tomorrow.
