Christmas Crafts

Christmas Crafts

🎄🍬🎇🎁🎅🎀🤶

Hi forum friends, we are just about in the thick of the holiday season and for many crafty people, this is a very busy time of year, whether we're making our own decorations, or working on handmade gifts it can be a bit stressful trying to get it all done in time! If that's you I want to know how you're getting crafty this holiday season and maybe we can help to cheer each other on as we work on our projects!
Or perhaps you're taking a year off but have Christmas crafts from previous years that you'd like to share! I know I have really enjoyed getting out of the hand-made Christmas decorations I made for the tree last year.
Or it may be that you're not so crafty yourself, but you have received some wonderful home-made gifts in the past that you'd like to share!
Whatever it is this is the spot for all things holiday crafts!

To kick things off here are some of the homemade ornaments I mentioned: Dried citrus pieces and paper baubles! This year I want to sew some bunting and some crowns instead of those paper ones that get thrown out at after one use

@Ru-bee i was just watching youtube videos yesterday and found it so tried it out. I've only ever made the basic one's before but wanted to see what else I could do ☺️.

It was actually really simple to make ☺️

Re: Christmas Crafts

Hi @Ru-bee @MissGremlin @Shaz51 and others here. What a great topic for a discussion thread. I’m impressed! Well done! Thank you for tagging me in this- very much appreciated! I love the crafts already shared- very creative!

This is a knitted Christmas tree ornament I did a few years ago. It took less than a few hours and I found the pattern in a knitting magazine from the UK. It was very easy to do and I really enjoyed making it. I have a pattern if others would like it.

When I was in primary school back in the 80s, I remember our classroom teachers getting us to make Christmas chains out of coloured paper that we cut up and joined together to make long chains across the classroom as a decoration. It was a simple activity use paper, scissors and glue and I think it got competitive at times with classmates trying to make the longest chains to be hung up. I also remember making bauble decorations by sticking and pining sequins into foam balls to hang on the Christmas tree. Other craft activities I did in primary school was designing our own Christmas cards for family and friends which I’m sure were much appreciated despite drawing not being my forte!

I look forward to seeing other creative Christmas crafts!

I’d use the support button to line these posts but it’s not working at the moment- sorry!

Take care!
