BPD No Friends, Family, Children in my 40s

Hi everyone. I've just recently discovered I may have BPD. In the process of being diagnosed.

I am unable to function due to my bf of 10 years leaving me. He was obviously my FP now I'm lost.

My family don't understand me. I've never felt like I fit in anywhere in life and everyone leaves.

I'm scared of the future as I have nothing left and have contemplated suicide.

I feel numb. Hoping to chat to others on how to survive. I thought I had depression and anxiety my whole life but I fear abandonment so much and my whole identity and reasons to live revolve around someone else.

I don't know who I am or what I'm doing anymore.

Please help 🙏

hey @TinaC1980 welcome to the forums!

i'm so sorry to hear about what's been happening lately - processing a potential new diagnosis while also losing your FP must've been so difficult. it's understandable that you'd feel overwhelmed, and it must've taken a lot of courage to seek support here. we're really glad you did 💗

losing your sense of identity would be really confusing, i know i'd feel pretty lost and scared. but at the same time, it sounds like an opportunity to re-discover yourself is right around the corner? it can be scary taking that step and 'starting again', but i have a good feeling that it'll be worth it and perhaps, you'll find better people too.

i know you've mentioned contemplating suicide, i do want to clarify and check-in, are you able to stay safe at the moment?

Thankyou @rav3n I'm safe tonight. Just really hard to find a reason to still be here and a purpose.

Hopefully this group will be able to help me discuss and understand my issues with like minded people
