Self care by growing a garden

Self care by growing a garden

A SOS to any green thumbs out there

I have always found gardening to be therapeutic and it has given me great joy. However, after a major crisis with Mr Darcy's health I have not had been able to get back into it. Have other gardeners suffered from a similar hiatus and how have you recovered and got going again?

Darcy

PS have a spot that needs filling any recommendations for a 1m high cool climate white flower plant?

We don't eat many eggs at all @Smc @Adge but I do like having chooks to eat the scraps and enjoy sharing the eggs. Pleased to report we no longer have any roosters.

Miniature food cooking was fun to watch @Faith-and-Hope reminded me of bonsai.

@Faith-and-Hope, I've come across the tiny cooking before. Totally insane. 😄 I could handle that kind of fiddly work for something that's long lasting, but for a mouthful of food...um, no.

I think it’s hilarious @Smc .... and would be fun to do with a young child probably, but I wouldn’t b cause I would be afraid that they would take candles and try it for themselves without adult supervision ..... which I would have done as a young child, by the way .....

Still trying to work out what eggs are being used @Smc @Faith-and-Hope they look like bantam size eggs.

There's a Paul Kelly song that goes: "From little things, big things grow"...

I'm reminded of that.

I wondered about that @Faith-and-Hope but quail eggs are speckled. There are a couple of bantam hens that lay blue eggs including one called an 'Easter Egger'. I woukd love to have a mix of chooks that lay different coloured eggs.
