Self care by growing a garden

Self care by growing a garden

A SOS to any green thumbs out there

I have always found gardening to be therapeutic and it has given me great joy. However, after a major crisis with Mr Darcy's health I have not had been able to get back into it. Have other gardeners suffered from a similar hiatus and how have you recovered and got going again?

Darcy

PS have a spot that needs filling any recommendations for a 1m high cool climate white flower plant?

@Former-Member I'm putting some ranuncula corms into pots. I bought a large packet, so there's a lot still to go.

I've got a lot of my bulbs in the ground, but some are in pots. I was giving some of them a bit of fresh soil today, in between cold squalls. My Dutch Irises have come up, but they haven't flowered for me since the first year. Maybe this year. I've already had a few crocuses flower, including a couple of Saffron Crocuses that snuck up on me and I found them too late to harvest the stamens. Ah well.

This months Gardening Australia magazine has an article on mini succulents. Reminded me of a show of theirs I went to many moons ago where someone had a display of these in snail shells.

If one is not keen of having the plants - there is always the option of cup cakes ...

Hi @Smc @Former-Member @Shaz51 @Adge I pruned and cut back the shrub outside my window. It was about 5mtrs wide and 4mtrs tall. I'm going to keep it small from now on. I put my collection of succulents where the foliage was. I've collected a few pumpkins from my vines. And, the fig tree has a few fruits on it. Plus, I've placed a few stone fruit seeds out back and am hoping they grow.
