Self care by growing a garden

Self care by growing a garden

A SOS to any green thumbs out there

I have always found gardening to be therapeutic and it has given me great joy. However, after a major crisis with Mr Darcy's health I have not had been able to get back into it. Have other gardeners suffered from a similar hiatus and how have you recovered and got going again?

Darcy

PS have a spot that needs filling any recommendations for a 1m high cool climate white flower plant?

@Smc

Did your garden cop a waterlogging?

Nope @Former-Member, just enough to mean I didn't need to water the potplants. 🙂

Hi @Former-Member ,

Thank you, that's nice.

Im ok. Still living with almost daily struggles, but coping.

I made the decision to pull out most of my garden. It was struggling in the harsh weather. So now I am building up the soil with food scraps, and will start again in autumn.

I am very lucky, I have lots of friends who I can download to about the sutuation here. I know lots of people dont have as much support.

What a great job you do!!

Things are moving along slowly but surely at our place. Mr Darcy is keen to keep things happening and has ordered some soil for our completed garden beds (raised veg beds still a work in progress).

Have been perusing various on line catalogues and investigating/ reading up as to what fruit will grow in our cool temperate climate, will sit on the plant selections we have made for a couple of weeks before placing any order but feeling quite happy with the list.

The running bamboo is, as expected, proving to be a tough customer to eliminate.
