Self care by growing a garden

Self care by growing a garden

A SOS to any green thumbs out there

I have always found gardening to be therapeutic and it has given me great joy. However, after a major crisis with Mr Darcy's health I have not had been able to get back into it. Have other gardeners suffered from a similar hiatus and how have you recovered and got going again?

Darcy

PS have a spot that needs filling any recommendations for a 1m high cool climate white flower plant?

Pleased that we can see stars tonight after being in a cloud of dust all day discouraging us from being out in the garden.

This was the most we saw of the sun all day.

Sounds productive @Former-Member

My psychologist suggested that I do some extra garden pruning - to have something to take nice photos of.

Then send the pictures to you people (she suggested).

I don't see that happening, just yet...

The first delivery of garden supplies (some sleepers) have arrived and we have done a rough set out - we won't fix them in place until we are happy with the layout and we ensure the raised garden beds will fit in (we have not got these yet). We also have a few more cotoneasters and other plants that need to come out and it will be easier to remove them first. Have already seen where an improvement in the initial design could be made and will enjoy playing around with it 😀.

Noticed a fern hiding behind some agapanthus and a red hot poker plant - suspect it is a climbing asparagus fern that is a declared noxious weed 😵.
