Through One's Eyes

Through One's Eyes

I have started this new thread for others to share and enjoy The World of Art. The title is a reflection on the many different views and ways of seeing art that is very subjective to the viewer.

Anyone can share a piece they have produced, are working on or would like to one day 'get around to doing'.

Many 'forumites' use art as a form of therapy or grounding/coping strategies - so please also share your experiences of these also.

It is also a place to discuss what people like, dislike are drawn to and the feelings ellicited from producing and viewing any pieces.

Feel free to add images or topics of discussion and enjoy the wonderful world that we can share through Art.

I hope you like it @Zoe7 ....

Going to visit this museum, for this exhibition, gave me an incredible gift today. It has contributed to my identity and shown me how my ancestral past has connected with my present, in ways I would not have been able to recognise or appreciate without the cultural experiences that came through my marriage.

It’s really quite something .....

That is a truly wonderful thing to have experienced @Faith-and-Hope A sense of identity is integral to one's belonging and even though this can change over time our core values and beliefs remain. By learning more about yourself it is like more pieces of the puzzle being put together - so for you today would have been like finding more pieces of the puzzle ...and that truly is something...

I know the Immigration museum is here too @Zoe7. That might take some time to find my way around ..... wonder if I have any ties to Tasmania .....apart from having lived there as an infant.

It is in the old grounds of John and Sunday Reed and iconic Melbourne arty scene. Lovely sculpture park on the Yarra. It is nice to think of you over here.

Glad that you recieved a lot of insight at the museum. Sanity saver ...

@Zoe7sorry you are up late and not feeling safe ... from external sources.

I was waiting for son to call from the train ... but he called and is going to try and find the night rider. He had a good night.
