Through One's Eyes

I have started this new thread for others to share and enjoy The World of Art. The title is a reflection on the many different views and ways of seeing art that is very subjective to the viewer.

Anyone can share a piece they have produced, are working on or would like to one day 'get around to doing'.

Many 'forumites' use art as a form of therapy or grounding/coping strategies - so please also share your experiences of these also.

It is also a place to discuss what people like, dislike are drawn to and the feelings ellicited from producing and viewing any pieces.

Feel free to add images or topics of discussion and enjoy the wonderful world that we can share through Art.

Yes , feeling much calmer last couple of days thanks.
I love to knit, making my niece a blanket for her baby at the moment, sometimes I make knitted toys, in the past I have done patchwork and lots of sewing.
I also like to paint and draw but since we moved and my partner’s accident I haven’t done so much. Just the knitting.

It's good to hear you are still knitting if you enjoy it @Catcakes. I am so intrigued by knitting - I can't work out how it works and can't get my hands right. I have to stick to a hook I think.

Do you think you'll get back into painting and drawing?

Yes, @CheerBear,
I would like to set up a corner of our garage where I can paint. My partner’s accident happened four days before we moved so the move was pretty chaotic. Since then most of my time is taken up looking after Mum, my kids and partner. Garage still a mess of boxes.

I’m ok with someday @CheerBear.
I don’t feel like I’m in the right space for painting at the moment.
I would only get frustrated if I didn’t have enough time. To set up , paint then clean up you need a couple of uninterrupted hours.
Knitting is great to pick up and put down, clean hands 😊
