Practicum

Practicum

Hi @tyme @rav3n  @Jynx @0ddsidian @RiverSeal @AuntGlow @SouthsNo1 @holdinghope5 @GalaxyGuide @Ru-bee

Hi guys,

Just to let you know that I am officially on prac now. That means you will be seeing more of me. I have less than 20 hours to do but I only have 4 weeks to complete them. I am thinking I might try to do an hour or two each day so I can leave time for my SANE prac supervisor to sign the booklet off in plenty of time for my last day at Tafe.

Hi @tyme my last day at Tafe is the 5th of December. That is just a morning tea and each student gets 5 minutes to say what they learnt on prac. I have no idea what I will say. Prac for me hasn't been too much different to being a forums user.

I guess I have learnt;

  • what it's like to be valued as part of a team
  • That being in a peer role changes the types of interactions you have on the forums
  • The importance of finding an organisation that fits with your personal values

Re: Practicum

I think I vaguely recall a conversation we had towards the beginning of your peer guide journey where we talked about expectations around how much engagement / how many responses we get in the posts in the Shoulder-to-Shoulder spaces, @Oaktree. Any reflections on that?

@tyme

Yep, for the whole certificate. I actually will receive my certificate on the 9th of December at a graduation ceremony.

Hi @0ddsidian

Um, good question. I think the engagement on the Veterans forums has still been a little slow but there has been some engagement with a few members. Olivia seems pleased with how it's going so that is good. I have done my best to build some engagement, and I guess that is all I can do.
