Re: Thought that charities cared, my mistake

Hi @Over-it I just wanted to stop by and welcome you to the forums.

I'm hearing how, well, over it you are of having your ideas be overlooked and rejected due to your circumstances. It sounds as though you're a really forward thinker and someone who is committed to helping others and making change. It must be so exasperating having such strong belief in your plans and your ideas, but not have others be able to see your vision, or be willing to support it.

I'd be really interested to hear whether other community members have faced such roadblocks before and how they've managed or overcome them.

I also just wanted to check in on whether you have any supports helping you through this right now? This is a lot to be going through, and on top of that it sounds like your current situation would be quite isolating

I'm glad you've been able to reach out here and hope that you feel supported by the community

Re: Thought that charities cared, my mistake

Hey @Over-it I get your frustration and I apologise if you felt my reply was dismissive or at all invalidated what you're trying to do. It does sound amazing and I have a lot of respect for your ability to conceive of these huge ideas that could have such big implications on the world.

Unfortunately, we are a bit limited with what can be shared here on the forums, so we can't share those links. That's not targeted at you, it's across the forums and relates to anything that could be seen as promotion, even when it's for positive initiatives and ideas like it is here. That's so the space can remain one that's focused primarily on peer-to-peer connection and support.

Again, I understand that's frustrating, but we are all human here and just doing our best to support the community within the guidelines of the space.
