All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

So the World Cup has finished. Croatia were outclassed by France. Beaten 4-2. What an amazing tournament it has been! Littel minnows rising to the surface and ousting some of the bigger fish.

I have the Premier League season to look forward to with new signings and managers. Then there's the Euros in two years' time.

Hope all your football fans enjoyed it as much as I did.

Loved it too @soul - I didn't watch as many games as I would have liked but some were on just too late for me. I managed to watch some of the early morning games and all of Australia's of course - now looking forward to the Premier League starting. I have forgotten who you follow?

@Former-Member Both your Swannies and my Lions had losses this week - pleased the Tiges won though. Watching Parra play now - we might actually get the win tonight

Re: All Things Sport...

Yes @Zoe7, thats right. My Swannies were bad last night, weren't they? And now we have a suspension for stupidity from Jones, so 2 weeks out for him. And injuries are all stacking up against the Swans. They are likely to slide out of the top 8 by the end of the weekend, and they poor Swans have a difficult final few weeks run to the semis. I really think they will miss the semis this year, they are playing that badly and missing so many players.

Yes I was disappointed about the Lions too, but happy for the Tiges.

Parra unfortunately just lost. My Raiders against Melbourne Storm are already down by a long way, and its only early stages, so are looking no chance at t his stage. What a farce it was last week with the refereeing in the Raiders match! Raiders always seem to have a hard luck story each year. The number of matches they have lost by only a point or two this year (and last year also) they are so unlucky. And ref decisions always go against them it seems.

So it looks like all our fav teams have suffered losses this weekend.
