All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

I'm training for my trip to Fiji. It's like a projects abroad thing where you help out the locals. But like you actually do help out. Not just rock up with a shovel and then take a selfie and leave lol @Zoe7
Its for all of July. But yeah Training is on that weekend

Re: All Things Sport...

That is super cool of you to be doing @MDT - and for a whole month - there is so much you can do when it is over that time frame and not just 'popping in' for a weekend to, as you say, take a selfie with a shovel! I would love to do something like that but I can't physically do it - maybe in another year or two.

Swansea out @MDT @Zoe7 @frog - but it was really nice to see Huddersfield get a point against Chelsea and avoid relegation. The fans, manager and team members were overjoyed. Good that Aussie, Aaron Mooy got a goal assist.

Re: All Things Sport...

I tend to watch too many matches live @Zoe7. I set my alarm for them all the time, sometimes have a little sleep either side of a game. Practising surviving on less sleep when the WC rocks up in five weeks. I do have the luxury of grabbing a power nap during the day if need be.

Re: All Things Sport...

I'll be doing the same come WC time @soul - watching the matches I can and napping between games when I can. I won't miss an Australian game - will probably sleep in my Aussie top for the entirety of the WC campaign lol (lucky I live alone hey!)

Re: All Things Sport...

@soul yeah but still... Expect better from swansea. The whole club is a mess. Especially because of the lack of understanding from the new yankie investors.

My pick for the WC is France @Zoe7 @soul

Re: All Things Sport...

One of my favourite pc games is football manager @soul

You can take on the role of any team on earth and act like the manager buying and selling players and winning games with tactics and such.
