All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

Hi @MDT Yeah the A-league final. With the exception of Lawrence Thomas, it was not enjoyable to watch. Hard watching your team struggle to stay in top tier. I had one of those nothing going right football wise last weekend.

Wouldn't be it be great if Liverpool toppled Real Madrid? They have won it 12 times - reckon someone else should take the reins in the Champions League.

@soul so want Liverpool to win! @Zoe7 said we could watch together. How about it? I'm definately getting up for it. I love both coaches for a start!

World Cup is coming around fast. Do you have a second team? I sort of feel we should be allowed given out track record though at least we got there! Some really big teams are missing.

France is my second side, as there's a family connection. Aust v France will be interesting. They beat us on name and national anthem, and that's even before kick off!

Well unless a miracle happens this coming weekend, swansea are out of the PL and back into the Championship League. It was fun while it lasted haha

Definitely will be watching the Champions League Final live @frog @Zoe7. Yes - a Liverpool win would be epic. I hear that Ronnie has an injury, probs not enough to have him sit out though.

I will be wanting Belgium to advance in the WC in the absence of The Netherlands. They have a pretty strong team.

@MDT - You never know - Swansea could very well beat Stoke. That would put them level with Huddersfield who will probably be defeated by Arsenal. Not sure about the goal difference and if that would keep them safe though.

would depend how many goals swansea score and how many goals arsenal score @soul because at the moment there is a difference of 2 goals.... I don't have my hopes up haha. However Swansea have everything to gain and Stoke have everything lost already so let's see what happen....

I'm going for France in the WC, except when they play Australia lol.
