There's some bad news on the tennis and Olympic front with Alex Di Minaur testing positive to COVID-19. That means the Olympic Games are off for him unfortunately. I hope HD makes a great recovery and can come back to play tennis again.

I personally do not think the Olympics should go ahead. If the money put into that event was spent bringing Australians home and into services here that need them then we would all be better off.

It's Olympic Games time at long last and although I still agree with many that it shouldn't have gone ahead, I'm currently watching the men's hockey with the boys playing against the home team of Japan. It's 5-3 Aussies at 6mins in the 4th (not sure how they time hockey!) so go Aussies! The men's bike road race is due to start soon - 234kms!- so they should be great to watch if only for the Japanese scenery. I'm personally looking forward to the tennis- Go Ash!-, the swimming, gymnastics, diving and equestrian events (a longtime horse lover!). What sports are you looking at watching?

Besides the Olympics, I'm pleased to announce that Melbourne Storm won last night over the Cowboys in Townsville and it's game day for the Brisbane Lions. Go the mighty lions!

As for me, I've had fun watching the Olympics, especially the swimming last night and the medal run this morning and afternoon. Also, celebrating the Brissy Lions win last night which was lucky to happen!

Back to the Olympic Games ❤️💙🖤💚💛

The Matildas are into the semi-finals after extra time in their game.

Our Aussie mixed doubles have won a broze medal (by default as Novak Djokovic didn't feel he could play that match ..mmmm!!!)

Plenty of medals in the pool and our Aussie girl has made it to the finals of the diving - still a long way back on points but great to see her going so well.

As for the football (AFL) - what a weekend ...lockdowns, cancelled games, moved games and still plenty to play for for most teams ...going to be an intersting end to the home and away games...

Unfortunately both my footy teams matches (Swans and Raiders) were postponed today due to snap lockdown in QLD @Zoe7 . But I have been watching many of the olympic events. 👍
