All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

Well @Zoe7 @MDT @Former-Member

I am going to shutdown the computer now so I can go to bed as soon as the cricket finishes. Feeling a bit blah and as usual early start in the morning.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.

Chat soon

Blessings to you all

I had to have a gggle when you said 'time FLIES when you are watching sport' @Scarecrowe - quite apt considering how many flies I have had this week watching sport with me LOL

I hope your headache eases Hon and you get a good night's sleep. Going to switch over to the tennis at the end of this match. Goodnight Auntie Scarecrow

Hi @Scarecrowe @Zoe7 @Gazza75

Scarecrowe I had to have a (reluctant) giggle last night reading your description about the joys of womanhood. Urgh ... I too used to look forward to menopause. I used to be dreadfully sick on day 1 every month .. I mean really sick and in a great deal of pain. So much so that I would need to stagger off to a restroom somewhere and curl up on the floor in a corner. They pain would eventually cause me to be physically sick, and also have diarhhea. Then it would ease somewhat and I could re-emerge looking pale and sick for 24 hours or more. And I was never very regular so could never predict when Day 1 would be. Tough, I hated it. I was one of the lucky ones when menopause finally arrived ... somewhat later in life than most .. it was a total breeze. No problems at all. Hope the same for you my friend. Thankfully for me I never got the migraine, headaches yes. But the pain and cramping was severe.

So ... who remembered that my Sydney Sixers were playing this afternoon? How silly is it, that in the middle of summer they are down in Adelaide playing at 3.30pm? Anyway they are batting now, chasing Strikers total of 135, but have already lost 1 wicket.

I watched some of the tennis last night too. The match between Sitsipas (forgive my phonetic spelling) and Kyrigos was a beauty.

Watching the game now too @Former-Member - no idea it was on but I don't keep up with all the games unless they are my Hurricanes.

What a ball from Khan - and a hat trick as well - he is amazing.

Re: All Things Sport...

Yes @Zoe7 ... my Sixers are collapsing. As they have a habit of doing when chasing down smallish totals.

Khan is a great cricketer, no doubt at all. Although he should not have had the hat trick. Edwards was given out LBW, with the ball clearly missing. 😕

I think 6ers are in big trouble.

Re: All Things Sport...

Didn't see the LBW @Former-Member but it is in the book now so nothing more tht can be done about a bad decision.

The Sixers are still in this - just need to be patient and not throw their wickets away now.

Hey @Zoe7 ... Just when I thought we were gone ... We won. Yay!

Lucky I think with the wides bowled bringing the target back within reach.

Re: All Things Sport...

@Scarecrowe I have missed you tonight but I have another story for you when you check in next time...

After purchasing the new fly screen last night I am yet to install it. I have been pretty busy today trying to get all the cupboards cleaned and sorted ready to restack. I have a feeling the flies know this and have made it their mission tonight to annoy me as much as they can before they are once again shutout by the new fly screen. ....crafty little buggers (I believe) are passing this information on to their families, their mates and just about any other fly that passes them by. The upshot is I am once again in a battle of patience with those pesky little black flying machines. I will win this - the spray has come out again and I am hitting them with everything I have left. Must install that screen tomorrow though as will not have any fly spray left after my efforts tonight. Here's to a fly free zone tomorrow night 👍💀
