All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

I agree with that @Scarecrowe My parents got one of their dogs from a shelter and he is so happy now with them - that was meant to be too.

I am of course biased as well but Tobes is a cutie

Re: All Things Sport...

Be totally biased @Zoe7 lol I will let you

Fur babies are the best...............

I had a feather baby for nearly ten years. He was a budgie named Frosty after Mark Winterbottom (was allowed a bird but not a dog or cat). He passed away the day before ANZAC day two years ago...............he was not a dog but he was a source of amusement and company...............he had some weird habits......................it took awhile for me to get used to not having him around.............I swear I could hear him ringing his bell after he passed for about a month...................

Re: All Things Sport...

Our babies are like that @Scarecrowe - such wonderful company and we miss them so much when they are gone. My first cat passed away in my arms and every day I missed her little purr and cuddles. Thakfully I had my present cat come into my life pretty soon after so whilst it didn't stop me missing my first cat it did fill some of the hole she left. ...then of course I got Toby and the joy of having them both has certainly helped me survive in the most difficult times. They are part of our family and whether a bird, dog, cat, rabbit, etc. we love them unconditionally as they also do us.

Re: All Things Sport...

They are very theraputic for sure @Zoe7 no matter what type of animal they are.

So much love they give and you can tell them your deepest darkest thoughts and secrets and you know they will never tell anyone what they have been told lol.

My childhood dog, Emily, took so many of my secrets with her when she passed. Bless her cotton socks...................lol

I have not replaced Frosty to this day. Still not ready even after 2 years. Not sure if I will ever get another budgie.........................with my living situation the way it is not having a pet is a bit less of a problem to fix.........but if I win tatts and get my own place I am getting a dog hands down lol.............................

Re: All Things Sport...

You are more than welcome to share in my joy of having Toby @Scarecrowe ...Uncle Scarecrow has a nice ring to it @Faith-and-Hope is an Aunty to my fur babies already so one more 'relative' would not hurt.
