All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

In response to: Re: All Things Sport...

Re: All Things Sport...

There is a long way to go @MDT but being placed 4th is a good place to be.

Fingers crossed they go all the way for you.............

Re: All Things Sport...

My main three sports are cricket, car racing (F1 and supercars) and AFL. I am not into both rugby forms but when world cups are on I like to know who won but won't watch. Tennis the same like to know who won but not a fan of watching. Soccer the same, not really into it but like to know who wins especially in the world cup.

I got into the tour de france over a decade ago and enjoy that. I love American baseball but don't get to watch it as it is not on free tv anymore sadly. Used to watch American basketball but not as much now, but my nephew has become a huge fan over the past few years so he is getting me back in lol.

How about you @Everan what sports do you like???

Re: All Things Sport...

@Scarecrowe Thanks for asking. I like rugby and cricket but have been found to watch a lot of sport over the last 10 years. I have watched AFL, rugby league and A league too just not as much as the other two. I have been watching the basketball over the last week after i noticed it was on.

Re: All Things Sport...

I would watch a lot more sports if it wasn't for so much of it being on paid TV. \

Wasn't happy when channel 7 took over the cricket last year and only played the test matches on free TV. Yep good on them............................

Do you follow a team in the NRL or AFL @Everan ?

In response to: Re: All Things Sport...

Re: All Things Sport...

I agree with the coverage.

I follow sharks and tigers in NRL as my dad was a shark supporter and now live in an area with the tigers. In AFL, it would have to be one of the sydney teams.

Which AFL team is gold for you @Scarecrowe?

Re: All Things Sport...

I am a true blue Carlton supporter @Everan

My late Pop was too and we were very close so when I was 5 I asked him who he supported and I copied him

We haven't been doing too well but we have got Eddie Betts back so hopefully that will help us next year......................I am wanting another premiership badly!!!!!
