different worlds

do you ever feel like you are constantly jumping between or on the line between different worlds all the time? like for me i constantly feel like i am in 2 different worlds at the same time both equally real just very different and i can never truly be accepted in either world and in each world no one else believes in the other world and idk how to explain this i just feel like my reality is always so different to everyone elses and no matter how hard i try and fit in each world i dont idk it is hard to explain i just like i am constantly having to pretend i believe the same things as everyone else because if i dont there are consequences and they arent good and idk how to explain what i am trying to...

Hi @Eden1919 I know how you feel though few experience such things and few believe it can exist but I’ve seen to much to say otherwise

Re: different worlds

Is it difficult to fit in due to problems related to communication, and/or organisation, and/or time-management skills, and/or poor self-care skills?

This I say, as I used to struggle with all of the above! ...and I felt as if I was in my own restricted world due to LACK of PERSONAL EXPRESSION through Art or Music or a Close friend or an interesting hobby, as I didn't simply have an inclination or proper thought to direct me to work on those areas of my life!

Hi @Eden1919

I’m not sure but I think I possibly have a similar feeling to you. When you say you can’t be accepted in either world, it’s not that you don’t fit in because the people around you don’t accept you, it’s more like your body has been physically ripped out of a different dimension and all your molecules feel… wrong. And even though you live every day in that reality it’s like there’s a huge invisible wall in front of your eyes between what you and what you’re experiencing.

At least that’s the version that I experience every day.

Re: different worlds

Hi @Eden1919 I can identify to what you say about "living in different worlds" cause yes I feel as though I live in multiple worlds and too often they collide and make MY WORLD confused/irritated etc.

I don't have an answer for it but I try to manage the feelings and I try to remember to "view the outside world through a clear filter" as in at night I try to think about what I have to do on the outside world the next day - in the morning when I wait for coffee to boil I think about the day ahead and I leave my phone away from me first thing in the morning so I can't escape reality in that first time of waking up.

I definitely feel some conflict between myself and the outside world, especially when there is something that I HAVE to do, I feel ripped off inside and angry that my ego has to wait for the other task to take priority.

But I also think, and it started with addiction therapy "I/my ego is actually not great at managing my life" and his ground my life into addiction and other problems if I follow my ego too much.

Do you have any tactics for staying focused on the things you need to do or managing the stress of managing different worlds? I would be interested to hear what you say but, you are not alone here I identify with what you say and your experience as described here.

@Eden1919

I had an experience of different worlds this afternoon with 2 different choirs. In the first a lady always goes on about UV. I don’t mind her bringing her parasol, but she often criticises random people for wearing a t shirt in the sun. Then in the other choir 2 men were talking about enjoying the sun. I try to be decent and inclusive with both, but they see the world differently. It happens everywhere. We can be vulnerable if we have to try too hard to fit in. At some point we need to go with self respect.
