Really good to hear from you too, @Appleblossom. I hope you're doing fine. Life's a bit topsy turvy for me at the moment. Relationships are always a work in progress, and misunderstandings are always a risk regardless of how careful I am.

A dress rehearsal would be great, but I am tired of doing things solo and I'm the only person I know who loves opera. BUT, how do I find out about them? Ring the Arts centre?

Yes, the body's taxed but I'm working it hard anyway.

I'm glad my post lightened your mood! I thought I might have really upset or angered you! I thought you had left forever because of me and was really worried about you!

My son has a support worker who is supposed to help him socialize. He uses her for shopping, dog walking with him, appointments, etc as he doesn't drive. There's not much socializing! He's a loner and has trouble making friends. He's also a really deep thinker!

I've got no plans today as it's raining on the Gold Coast! I only brought up one light jumper and don't want to take it off. My plans are still to have a shower! It's been four days!! I have an aversion to having a shower. No idea why. Maybe I just can't be bothered! 🤗

No, it's not arthritis @heartathome, but it may turn into it. No pain, thankfully, but it's hard to shake hands after a game!

You didn't upset me. We all have to tell it like it is. I hadn't left for ever. I wasn't on here yesterday as I am really out of sorts at the moment, and sometimes I need to abstain.

So, you're on the Gold Coast! Are you holidaying or do you live there? Several days ago, someone told me they were from the NSW north coast, as I recall. Perhaps it was you. I told you I can't remember what I have said to whom!! And I don't read a lot of other's posts to keep in touch with everyone's details.

Your son has some problems, doesn't he? I hope he's doing ok. How many children do you have?

@Historylover Has your hand atrophied with your fingers curling under? I'm glad you don't have arthritis! What game do you play? I hope you're okay feeling out of sorts! Because of the weather, I feel like I'm imprisoned inside. 😉I'm an outside person mainly because my unit is so small! You are right! I do live on the NSW North Coast and am visiting my partner on the Gold Coast. I only see him once or twice a year now but talk on the phone every few weeks. I've been with him about 22 years. We were separated by a flood. I was transferred an hour from my son and 2 hours away from my partner. He prefers the city, and I prefer the country now. He doesn't drive anymore, and I only drive in a 30-kilometre radius and never on a freeway. It's one of my goals to drive on a freeway for 20 minutes. That will get me to a larger supermarket, Kmart, etc. I only have one son and he's in psychosis atm! He's doing okay and still going to work while he's hearing voices. It's been five months this time. He's on medication but it's not working completely! I'm nearly 65 and he's nearly 35. What about you? Do you have any kids? Can you give me a rough age? I'm presuming you are male, but I could be wrong!

I'm back from my support worker and it was very productive, @heartathome. It is a beautiful day here and now I'm back indoors, unfortunately.

Well, I don't know if you'd call it atrophy, but my hand assumes the configuration it would if it was on the mouse. It won't straighten any more. I seem to have a problem with weak cartilage in several locations. Not to worry, at least it's not painful.

My unit is small too, but it is all I need. It's my home, my study, my sanctuary and sometimes, my prison!

Well, your circuit of 30 kms. is far bigger than mine. I just don't need to travel further but I'm looking forward to extending myself when the need arises.

You assumed wrongly!! I must come across as very strong! (I'm beginning to worry!). I'm female. You're the second person who has drawn that male conclusion! I thought my screen pic was a clue? I play carpet bowls, badminton and table tennis. It helps to keep me socialising and fit. And it's a bonus when my game improves. I'm no longer a beginner.

I'm so sorry I presumed you were male @Historylover ! It would worry me too if it happened to me, even though I know that I'm a strong, independent and assertive woman, I would be shattered. I think it's in the name for me, @Historylover. My history teacher could have been male, or probably more likely, I associate history with males; I don't know why! You did come across as being a strong person (to me) but there's not one thing wrong with that!! Walk tall and proud! 💛
