my disturbed middle son *trigger Warning*

my disturbed middle son *trigger Warning*

hi everyone my middle son who many of you know so well told me something today on his visit. he said that he had been hearing voices who were telling him to do things to the people at his supported living. in the same breath he said that he wouldnt do anything because he wanted a gun licence. he is perhaps the most disturbed person that i have ever known.

Re: my disturbed middle son *trigger Warning*

@Bunniekins i know from experience that the best way to fight these kind of 'voices' is to love them to 'death'. i also know that the trouble with a lot of support people is that they freak when they hear mentally ill people experiencing ugly voices like this, however such does not help, but often makes the person hearing such voices go into hiding, which is FAR worse than them openly talking about what is going on tin their heads.

To try and deactivate, what i call 'evil' voices, and the intend such voices try and instil in those forced to hear them, is to love the person afflicted, even when are in 'the self influenced' by such voices.

i believe building a relationship of acceptance and let your love together direct his thoughts away from the bad thoughts into good thoughts instead is a very powerful way to oppose the bad things he is thinking and hearing.(It also helps finding what the triggers are that make such thoughts attractive to him.

)

i know this sounds easy, but i also know this is imposiible when the mental ill person is too sick to comprehend what is happening in their head. At such times just coming along as along supportive person, who loves them no matter what, making sure they get all the medications and supports the sick person needs, is then the best way to await them coming back to their senses.

To hold onto your loved one with all the love you got, even when they speak about wanting to do things that can make you shudder, is the best advise i can give you, and for your love to overcome such evil voices of evil intend trying to steal the mind of your son.

My prayers go out to you.🤗

@DownMoreThanUp hey DowbMoreThaanUp thank you for posting such caring words about my son. it is wonderful that he feels safe enough to tell me these things i always tell him that it is important that he talks to me or someone about them. we all love him very much he is a beautiful human being which is why when he tells me these things i get so surprised and bang back i go mentally to the bad old days .... i always think we have moved past them (the voices) but no.

when my son was a toddler we were walking down the hallway at my mother and fathers old federation cottage. half way along he stopped pointed to the corner of the ceiling and started laughing saying there was a spotted boy there. was he hallucinating or was there a spook there i dont know? thanks again hun xxx

@Bunniekins Good on you! (Oh by the way - i reckon perfection is not something to be grasped - but lived. For loving true, which means you do the loving, is always perfect, however small the imprint may be, true love will always be remembered by the person loved with it.)

@StuF hey StuF how are you hun? middle son came over for a coffee and was in good form. really his support living is wonderful such good support workers there and the other clients are a great mix. it was like nothing had happened sure he was strange and needed reassurance regarding his fantasies but other than that it was just another day.
