Mexican beef salad + chicken pesto salad + beetroot slaw = tasty

That is what I threw together tonight with leftovers for tomorrow

Re: Friday Coffee and Chat -- 17th October 2025

I ate leftovers

And made bone broth in the instant pot. It helps limit salt intake not using packet stock. 20+ years of antipsychotics has given me hypertension, among other issues

I like lots of bay leaves in my broth

@DogMan79

I have the opposite issue, always told to have more salt, hypotension

I just figured out how I can remember the difference!

hyp-o-tension

Like there's a hole in the tension!

@Shaz51 i did notice the difference! The one on the left is tap water. Very pleased with the result after a warmish day.

Re: Friday Coffee and Chat -- 17th October 2025

@Shaz51 i know, but if you knew how much effort i and money i have put in to keep our pond clean with conventional filters. Near impossible unless i go into the thousands of dollars. And a big job cleaning the rotten things, plus the waterfall always slows right down after 1 or 2 days cleaning.

So i made this a filter myself. And it has our pond water cleaner than ever. The quality you see on the image an improvement on yesterday's, but compared to the conventional filters, twice the price, and 20 x the work, it is beautiful and clean compared to always green or greenish.

We got near 100 fish in just 2000 litres of water. Most conventional filters only cater for 10-15 fish at most. So i'm very pleased with the result. What is more i could run the filter even faster if need be, all i have to do is put a bigger pump on it. However 7000 litres a day should be fine in the warmer months.

@Shaz51 How are you? How were the pizzas? I’m at home this weekend but going to go for park walks with my fur baby. A friend has come over to support me while I taper off anti depressant. Feeling so awful. But it’s so good a friend is here to help me while I do this.
