 Support the Petition: Demand a Review of Family Domestic Violence Order Changes

Recent changes to the 2004 Family Domestic Violence Order, meant to protect victims, are instead wrongfully affecting innocent men—ruining lives and families.

These laws, while designed to keep victims safe, have made it harder for those falsely accused to defend themselves. Many are now locked into FVOs with no clear path to prove their innocence, facing consequences for crimes they didn’t commit.

We need Parliament to revisit these amendments to ensure the law protects *real* victims without unfairly trapping innocent men—especially those struggling with mental health issues.
