I thought of this thread earlier today because i put on socks and thought they were a bit silly.. not because of the design of them though... but because they were so small even for me! Yet i was still wearing them?? (Because theyre not good enough to donate, but not worn out enough for the rubbish).

I think i have had them for 15-20 years (mid-late teens?) And the "heel" of the sock sits just in front of my heel (midway down my foot sole) lol.

I realised it was quite silly. But they still work because the ankle of the sock covers my heel enough to become like an anklet sock.

@AlwaysMyself haha they still sound like a perfectly good pair of socks to me 😂.

When I worked for a logistics company a few years back the only other female worker and I had nicknames for each other, she was Chrissie Penguiney and I was Crystal Penguiney as be both believed we should be penguins as they are so cool (no pun intended!) I bought these socks for the both of us -

I have several Beany Boo penguins as well as penguin earrings and even a penguin windscreen shade for my car.
