Although the radiation therapists were quite taken with my sock collection because it was daily radiotherapy for 4 weeks - I tried never to wear the same socks - but I was a bit limited because I would go to work before radio, so had to be careful with the the bright ones. I had two jobs at the time - I could get away with bright socks for one job. Sometimes the radiation therapists would wear their socks when they were on shift on my machine, so it was nice to have something other than cancer to talk about.

I just thought I'd try to brighten their lives and say thanks with socks - they were very happy when I brought in a big box - for everyone - the admin, nurses, radiation therapists, doctors, cleaners, physicists etc - it was a very big box. It was like watching kids go through the box and pick out their favourites
