Last night, I heard that an old 60s musician Neil Sedaka passed away and that brought back a wide range of memories for me - predominantly of my mother who has since passed and her playing his album on our old record player at home. Songs like ‘Calendar Girl’ and ‘Breaking up is hard to do’ as well as ‘Little Devil’ were some of my favourite songs to listen to when I was a kid in the 80s so I’ve since downloaded them on my phone last night to listen to which was a nice way to sit and reflect on the memories.
As Ed Sheeran is touring Australia, I’ve been listening to his music which I enjoy, especially his songs ‘Perfect’ and ‘Old Phone’ - a new favourite which is on his new album and which has made me think about the song and how having regrets about the past isn’t necessarily helpful in order to move on with life. I’ve also been listening to Casey Barnes new song ‘Made for This’ which is inspiring and motivating given my new life as a uni student. It’s also the 2026 NRL theme song for the year as well for those that are interested in sports.

@Judi9877 it is hard when well known musicians pass away especially when you have so many fond memories.
Motivating music is amazing, being a uni student can be challenging. I need to put some music on a motivation list.

Hi @Judi9877 it is nice to reminisce when listening to old songs. It's amazing how a particular song can take you back to a particular even in your life.
I love Ed Sheeran, but I haven't listened to any music for a little while, since I have been busy with my living situation. Thank you for updating me regarding his new song. I have attached the link so other people can have a listen if they want to. I like it! And I LOVE the song Perfect and Thinking Out Loud. Actually, I can't list them all as there are too many of his songs that I like.
