@Shaz51 My day has been above average really. A little flat this morning but that passed.
Especially when wife came back with a pair of geese who had 10 goslings, to join our pair with 1 gosling left. We are keeping them apart for a bit with a fence but it seemed like they already ruling the roost. We got Guiana fowl and chicken combined with the Geese. The Guiana fowl are by far the noisiest around the place, but so far they keep hawks, and even foxes, at bay raising the alarm like you would not belief. 14 Fowl once surrounded a fox, that wormed its way through the fence ,and had it literally hiding behind the olive tree. I had heard the fowl raise the alarm, but did not immediately think anything of it, for they go off when a hawk flies by as well. Yet when they persisted the screeching i thought i better go and check out. This is how i found the fox behind the olive tree pushed against the fence and with no way to get any chicken let alone a fowl with 13 other fowl screeching on top of their voices at you. i had no trouble convincing the fox to leave when i gave it the opportunity. i have not seen it back.
