I am recovering from being outside in the busy city. I get so anxious and paranoid.

What about yourself?

I'm very new to matcha... I think it's just a fad. I like the taste though @ENKELI

Re: Fancy a cuppa , Connect now 2

@Messylife I did my degree over 8 years 😊 (instead of fulltime 3 years). By my final 1-2 years I was very much at the stage of "I need to complete it so that i havent just wasted many years and dollar on this study, I at least need to come out out with a piece of paper" lol. but was very much over it 😅. But, I did it! I have a bachelor's degree - and I think it does help when applying for professional-office jobs to have proof of higher education. It doesn't matter that my degree (especially my major) is unrelated to the work I do lol.

@Akarsha well done on the christmas chocolate shopping. 😊 yum too! Choc is always a good gift. I hear it isn't easy for you going to the shops - so even more kudos your way 😍. Plus you got in early before the crazy crowds of people fighting for car parking and checkout queues. You're a winner in my books!

@Shaz51 @tyme @Chasingsunsets My support button (on laptop) is working at the moment. 😎 I'll work it to the bone for as long as I am online this arvo lol.

Good evening @Shaz51 @AlwaysMyself @tyme @Akarsha @Messylife @Chasingsunsets @ENKELI @Jynx @rav3n and everyone tonight. Happy Friday!

@AlwaysMyself Thank you for your kind words regarding my current situation. It’s very much appreciated! What uni degree did you do that took 8 years? I’ll be doing a Bachelor of Social Work next year full time after not being in uni since finishing in 2009- started a primary education degree and changed to a Bachelor of Arts after deciding that teaching wasn’t for me. I’m planning on doing education as my specialty as it’s cheap for hecs and I can afford it within my hecs budget - still haven’t paid my previous debt off due to not working because of health issues. I’d like to work in student wellbeing or maybe in a hospital inpatient setting in mental health but that will depend on my placement opportunities in my 3rd and 4th years.

@Shaz51 Gorgeous photos!

@Chasingsunsets Thanks for replying and being a great forum member!

I’ve had an interesting day in my carer role which has been stressful as usual - the whole move thing is creating arguments with my housemate whose mental health is getting worse but she won’t deal with it and mental health services won’t listen or speak to me regarding her for privacy reasons. Her mother is refusing to acknowledge there is a problem with her which is even worse and there’s nothing I can do as her mother won’t speak to me. I did have a phone call with my carer peer worker which was great as I was able to vent to him and get advice which has been very helpful. I’m planning to get things out of my head by doing a journal entry and then trying to let it all go. My self care strategies of knitting kids jumpers is working as I’m up to my 2nd jumper already after completing my first one 1 in a week due to the whole moving stress issues. The way it’s going, I’ll possibly have 4 completed before leaving my current property in the week before Christmas. The best thing is I haven’t had to purchase any wool as I’ve got plenty to use up which makes it a cost effective strategy and helps me with my mental health and knowing that some kids will be warm for the charity that I knit for. I’ve also been knitting whilst watching tv and plan to have a weekend watching sport - v8 supercar racing, cricket and maybe the AFLW grand final tomorrow night if I don’t watch the Sister Act movie marathon instead.

Time to go and chill out listening to some music on my phone. I think Taylor Swifts Reputation album might be in order followed by Luke Combs playlist in Apple Music whilst doing some knitting or crochet or maybe cross stitching.

Take care!
