I like to garden in Spring and Autumn most @rav3n . Can plant stuff and seeds and bulbs. Summer is high cost with the needed watering. Yes it’s a passion but I can’t do the heavy stuff anymore. Used to lug bags of potting mix around and tern compost. Can’t do that anymore:

oh flute is neat.

@rav3n I do like different flavours. Hazelnut, mocha and creme brulee are my favourite latte coffee type and I have a couple of favourite blends from a local coffee company, Yahava.

I also like a dirty chai, which is a chai latte with a shot of coffee. The best of both worlds!

@GezzaP I learned Indonesian for a year 😊 it was very helpful when I travelled to remote areas there at the end of that year. Too many years later now though and I don't remember much of it, but some more of it came back to me during my recent holiday to Malaysia and Indonesia.

I do always remember the words for "coconut" and "head". They are easily confused 🤣 (sound a bit similar) and apparently were commonly done by students lol.

@rav3n thank you. Trip was good; have loaded photos to my laptop so i can look through and select a few to downsize and upload when i get time. Was hoping to have been doing them this week after work hours, but getting this cold has put a spanner in that plan! But i will eventually 😊 and we can all enjoy photos of animals mostly lol.

And I did of course think of @Shaz51 and the coffee threads when i had my iced coffee (esp the one at a Starbucks - they had aircon and wifi lol so they were a good choice to chill before i could check in to the hotel which had no aircon in public areas lol).

(Sorry, havent read newer posts since the ones im tagged in. Dont have time to tonight, but please do tag me to share things to my attention as wanted 😊. Back to sleep soon - been good having 2 days in bed, on the mend a little)

@AlwaysMyself I had a student of Spanish classes in my politics class confuse lost in the head with physically lost in location. Was funny. And I’m afraid I laughed. I’ve only been to Indonesia and Japan in Asia. Nowhere else appeals much. Don’t like resorts or hostels much. Stayed in a few hostels though. In Cape Tribulation in Queensland, Mexico City and LA. Hotels are small and cheap in Latin America.

ahh yes, summer would be tough on the water bills. i'm unfortunately terrible at looking after plants, which is why i only own a cactus now 😅 but it would be really lovely to grow your own fruits/vegetables @GezzaP

@ENKELI oo yes, i do remember you mentioning the hazelnut one before too - i'm growing to like that one more! i've never tried a dirty chai before, adding that to my list! (p.s. i've edited out the cafe name for anonymity reasons - hope that makes sense but feel free to reach out if it doesn't!)

have you done the coffee and tea tasting in Bali before?

@rav3n My helper got me a rainwater tank but hasn’t connected it yet. It has been months. He starts things but doesn’t finish them. I get frustrated with that.
Water is so expensive. I use a watering can rather than the hose, except on the front garden which has a watering system on it.

Have been very lazy today since psych called, watered and walked up to letter box. Had a letter for neighbour again. Slept two hours had late lunch for me. Watched something on iview.

Now having a drink and catching up on forums.

Hi @Shaz51 @rav3n @GezzaP @AlwaysMyself @ENKELI @AuntGlow @Meredyth49 @Till23 @Adge and anyone else who might be wanting a cuppa!

How's the week going for everyone?

Re: Fancy a cuppa , Connect now 2

I’m ok except not sleeping much at night and as a result hypomanic. @Ru-bee

Spent too much money on knick knacks and home maintenance lately. Had to withdraw some super. But got plenty. Lots of bills to pay over next few months.

Got to have a fasting blood test Monday (will go early before peak hour) and need to run other errands too. Will take time to browse plants in Bunnings after blood test as well as looking for kangaroo meat to try on my cat. Then have breakfast in cafe. Then run two more errands after 9am. Will flee mall as early as possible, but after peak hour.

How are you?

Re: Fancy a cuppa , Connect now 2

Sounds like it'll be a busy morning on Monday @GezzaP! I also need to go to Bunnings to browse some plants soon, my dog has uprooted a plant in my little courtyard and I need to replace it with something he'll hopefully be less interested in 😅

I'm also just starting to get some bits and pieces together for a multi-day hike I'm going on at the end of next week 🙂
