i was alone for 8 years or so in my early adult life. It was hard.
I’m now married and this is our first Christmas with my 5 month old daughter! I think I will dress her up as an elf!

spending Christmas alone was hard as you peer over your shoulders and others are surrounded with people. What are you planning to do ?

Hi @Littlenhuy Not much it's a double whammy as l am a Christmas eve baby but since my marriage breakdown after years of DV my adult children l haven't heard from them because my ex wife is still controlling and manipulates them it's been 4 years l try to live in hope the phone may ring but doesn't happen l can't get used to the idea l may never see them again it's so painful.

Sound great @Judi9877 l did my shopping early today before lunchtime shops are crazy and run out of things. It's. Been 4 years alone now it doesn't get easier

I’m hearing what you’re saying and I’m putting myself in your shoes, I can’t begin to imagine how I would feel.

may I only suggest a silly thing but maybe keeping busy this Christmas will help you through.

@rav3nHi, this year I am spending Christmas day with my support worker. We are going to do something in the city.

This year I can handle being alone, because I have made a few friends and have gone and done things. Which has given me momentum to go out of the house.

It was never really anything growing up. Either with birth family or even less so in adopted family

My sisters tried to make something of it when they were married or partnered. But not now
