another one of my ancestors his parents were killed in a riot when he was a baby ( which i can not find yet ) in Demark ???

but found him in australia married and as a bootmaker later on

so much is missing in between

That's so hectic @Shaz51 - how do you find out all this stuff? I have been thinking about looking into my ancestry but feel a little funny about giving a bio-sample to a giant corporation...

@Jynx , I used to go to the research libraries

But now they want you to go online and pay for doing it but not sure if I want to do that

It is great when you find someone researching the same family tree

Always start with what you know and getting certificates helps too

Old school research is a lost art these days @Shaz51 but ty for the tip!! I think my cousin was looking into it at one point, maybe he'll have some starting points for my mum's side 😊

Is some of it like, 'public records'? Wonder if the office of births deaths and marriages has stuff that's open to the public...

They are open @Jynx , just need to make sure you have the right person You are after

My aunty does our family tree online , so might be time to join her -- back to 1500 so it is getting harder

Yes indeed they are selling.

They will get enough from the sale to purchase an Inner City apartment. Close to the Cathedral and hospital. Cause they are in their late 60s and not in the best of health.

@tyme have you ever met well educated people who are so use to being correct, that they assume that they are correct about everything?

And anyone who they don’t consider a peer is treated like staff. It’s pretty weird.
