What is his plan

What is his plan

Hey there. I have my daughter who is unwell her partner 3 kids their dog staying with me in a two bedroom unit. I have animals also. The place is cluttered I cant move freely stuff everywhere I look after the baby and 7 year old and my daughter the partner if gets too stressed fits. I cant cope very well because I have a torn rotar cuff bad knee and osteoarthritis. Now the partner is stating the two cats move in the laundry I said thats not going to happen. the cats are at their home the dog is barricaded away from the birds. He is taking over what I want to do its like he is in my face. I have my daughter here from hospital and before because she so unwell. He goes out talks on the phone to his friends leaves me to cope with everything when im physically struggling myself. I dont know how to manage him without upsetting my daughter I want my house and life back when she is well, however long that may be. He has ideas I say no but how do you say n o without causing probems.

Hi 17M,

Firstly, welcome to the forum, I'm sure that you will find the other members to be very supportive and happy to share ideas with you.

Your current situation sounds very difficult, with you trying to support your daughter, yet also having to manage a lot of disruption to your routine. While you are waiting for support here, remember that you can also reach out to Lifeline on 13 11 14 if things start to feel overwhelming.

Kind Regards,

Hi. I rang lifeline before I joined here they put me on to another contact social worker which i will have to contact. The issue is the partner invading my space and moving in taking control trying to over ride my decisions or suggestions. S he might be her partner but she is my daughter. He is driving me insane I feel invaded by him cant say too much or my daughter will side with him and say he will have a seizure if I stress him out. I dont want to lose my cool but im being pushed to my limit

No support at the moment they only thing suggested was to place the baby in respite but its like foster care if the partner would pull his finger out more instead of groaning about himself. For instance I was getting ready to take daughter for scan she called out to him to change dirty nappy he said ill be there, he stayed outside on the chair smoking

In the finish I had to lift the baby my daughter changed her because my shoulder is bad and she is not to lift because to be blunt uterus prolapse after the birth to which she has been in and out of emergency due to the hospitals incomptience pulling on the cord and it snapped they tried another attempt and ended up in a serious condition bled out had blood transfusions and left a lot of afterbirth still there. That's why she cant left or strain her body. A child with a iq of 140 n who is 7 yrs old 12 yr old and a 5 mth old and a partner who stressed and fits I cant say too much because I end up being the bad person

@17M It sounds like an exceedingly difficult situation. You are fully extended for hospitality, lack of physical space would be overwhelming, let alone the née to care for infant and child, daughter and yourself.

I am sorry, the hospital system let your daughter down. I also know what that is like. Seriously for my family.

I do hope you can survive somehow til your appointment, and that person helps organise housing for them, if the parents are both disabled, they may have some entitlement.

As a person who was in the foster care system, as a little girl, I understand your reluctance to give up any child for respite.

regarding the partner, I sense you are between a rock and a hard place. Is he unable to provide for his family or have gratitude for your hospitality, which is over and beyond the norm. ?..?? D Does he at least do the school drop off?

I know the crisis lines are not always appropriate or relevant. It is a limitation of the anonymity of the forum, but the staff do try..

take care are
