How do I move on with my life

How do I move on with my life

I’ve had countless life changes in the past few years, some good most bad. On top of the lifestyle changes I got into my first long term relationship and that turned out extremely complicated and difficult. Along the way there has been a lot of events happen to me that I felt took a piece of me each time. I have to now move out of my home that was kinda my rock and my only security through everything and I feel like I’m going to break. I always think about just letting go and wanting to move on but I just can’t do it. I would love some advice on how to let go of everything that’s happened to me and actually move on?

hey @llama5

talking it outs solid foundation and your on a safe platform for experienced living.

as a sugestion without knowing anything of your individual circumstances or what other hits your also navigating through id say get a list of the things you want to keep and things you want to be change.

be real and go from your favourite item of clothing right up to house as you said have to move .

now go through that list again and cross out the things you cant keep or change

.will be shorter its going be upsetting if your honest about the difference.

now look at whats not crossed out and focus there, thats your path forwatd

energy spent on what you cant change wont help you

Re: How do I move on with my life

@llama5 Hi, I don't have much advice on how to move on especially with all these changes going on.

All I can say is that things take time. As hard as it is just remember that even the smallest of changes can be very unsettling and feel like a step backwards so the way you are feeling is not unusual. In time you will adjust and be just as comfortable in your new place.

Re: How do I move on with my life

Hey there @llama5

Firstly, I just wanted to give you a warm welcome and thank you for sharing your experiences with the community tonight! Allowing yourself to be vulnerable takes a lot of strength, and your courage to reach out for peer support is worth acknowledging.

I hear that past few years have been pretty rocky for you, navigating changes in your lifestyle, relationships, and now your living situation. It's great to hear that there have been some peaks in this time, although, I understand that dealing with the valleys can be a struggle, and you're valid in feeling like this has taken a piece of you each time.

As humans, many of us thrive off of stability and security. To have gone through all of these big life changes in the past few years, it is understandable that this has taken a tax on your mental health. You have done really well to recognise the impact this has had on you, and this places you in a great position to connect with the supports that you deserve.

For now, I would like to share this resource with you that has some great tips on how to let go of your past and embrace your future. I hope you can find some of this information helpful!

I hope that you find the forums a great place to connect with other members and find the support and connection you deserve. I'm sure that the community will have some insights to share with you soon!

Take care 🙂
