Spring has well and truly sprung in our pocket of the world.
Time to get the garden looking springy
Today our veggie patches are getting a decent fill with compost and a redo, ready for the tommies which is our biggest grower and of course our zucs, cucumbers, and all the fun things
At one point over the summer last year we were picking tomatos 10 a day.
The Rural garden supply loves to see me!!

@Former-Member are toy worried about the hooks damaging the fencing paint? Or just that they dont fall/blow off?
I dont have that type of fencing, so I cant really give good advice. However I have used the hanging baskets from Bunnings on a metal wire trellis/grid, and also on fake-wood panelling without issue.

It is also something I’d do chuck in a whole heap of seeds and see what grew 😂. I wonder what kind of flower the purple one is?

@AlwaysMyself Where I live I own my unit and rent the land, unit is referred to as relocatable. I do have some concerns about possible damage to the fence.
back fence does have couple wire trellis fastened to it, not sure if would be strong enough to hold weight of hanging baskets.
I am wanting to get raised garden beds made by men who live here and spend time in the work shed. I’m wanting garden beds to be 90cm high and to the ground. Maybe they can build the garden beds to include wood frame from which the baskets can be hung. Maybe something like the one below with horizontal timber top and part way down

You are absolutely correct, @Dimity. Now that you mentioned the name I vividly remember the little bag the corms came in.
@Chasingsunsets I believe I had some red and white varieties also pop up last year, but I'm so glad the first one I saw was purple. It's so gorgeous! Also, highly recommend chaos gardening. Seeds are so inexpensive. The natives are particularly hardy 😊
