R U OK? DAY

R U OK? DAY

Today is R U OK? Day. This is the national day of action when Australians are encouraged to connect with people in their lives and have meaningful conversations with anyone who might be struggling with life's challenges.

Even though today is recognised as the main day, please remember that any day can be a R U OK? DAY.

So to all our members out there, R U OK?

@Snowie @rav3n @FearofUnknown @Captain24

I am waiting patiently for my ear nose and throat appointment

The hardest part isn't the appointment, it's that the clinic is shared with maternity.

It's overwhelming when you've lost children of your own.

But I'm allowed to wait on the chairs outside so at least I'm not overstimulated

So am I ok? No where near it

Am I surviving? Yes

How about you guys

Re: R U OK? DAY

Not the best today, stuck in the anxiety trap. Like I've mentioned before, it end eventually, I just try my best not to be eaten by it.

@Snowie thanks for asking, it always helps knowing that people care how you feel

Re: R U OK? DAY

@avant-garde it must be hard sitting in the clinic. I'm glad you can sit outside.

It's ok if you are not ok.

We are here for you if you want some company, someone to talk too or just someone to sit with you.

I hope your appointment goes well.

Hi @jrn

I don't think we've talked before so nice to meet you.

Its ok not to be ok. I think you are really brave to not be eaten by it. It can take lots of courage.

We will always care how you feel. Your feelings are important to us.

Re: R U OK? DAY

Nice to meet you too @Snowie

Yep it is hard to not be consumed by the Black Dog. Sometimes I have to accept solice that just sitting there in dazed, confused, anxious and depressed all at the same time, means that I am still here, still in the battle. It might be a perpetual battle, but all we really have is time right.

Re: R U OK? DAY

It's hard to sit with all of that @jrn It can feel like it's there from the minute we wake up till the minute we go to sleep. That we spend all day just trying to get through the day.

But your are right, even though it feels like it can last forever, it does mean that we are still here.

And whilst we are still here we can fight the fight.
