What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

I woke up today feeling great. Had an amazing day at work. Cat is back. My daughter is doing so well. It has been a great day!

Oh so in a bit of limbo @TAB, have I got that right? Sorry it’s like that. I struggle with grey areas and uncertainty so can imagine how you are feeling. Are you still heading to the big smoke? Days off atm? I’m ok thanks @TAB, thanks for asking. Physio tomorrow plus a couple of other appts. Think I’ll turn into an appointment with how many I have this week lol.

Thank you so much. It has been a while, so I am really enjoying the early mornings, the sunrises, just remembering that we are in an amazing world, so much to see, so much to do, so much to look forward to. Regardless of everything else in my life, what has happened, there is always something to look forward to. And that brings a feeling I can't quite yet describe

@Chasingsunsets those frangipani flowers are beautiful! I have a frangipani that is not doing much at the moment, I think it's a white one. I love the scent of the flowers too.

My highlight today was potting up the lavender plants I bought from Funnings (Bunnings) on the weekend. I had lavender growing in my front yard but unfortunately it was neglected when I was living elsewhere - my bro who was living in my house is not much of a gardener!

I also got a great deal on the hotel my bestie and I will be staying at in London. The trip is slowly coming together, my passport is ready to be collected and all I have to do now is book return flights from London to Perth! Lol, minor details!! 🤣

I have lost track how long since been there, could work back ok 1 wk hols wk b4 had interview wkb4 had off ok was last there 11sept, seemed longer.so I should be doing something in a week or two.

@Chasingsunsets got specialist appt next wk , thinking aloud. tryingto get perspective

Thank you so much. I have been trying to look to the positives in life, rather than focussing on what has been the past. The forum has helped me do so, the most amazing bunch of people that are here. Could not ask for anything better. Everyone here is just so amazing.

And yes, we are so relieved. He is a lovely boy, was so good to see him next to a hedge and meowing at us to get him.
